The 7th Annual Bondi Short Film Festival held at the Bondi Pavilion on Saturday, November 24th sold out in record time for the 7th year in a row, even before doors opened. As eager punters and talented film makers poured into the Bondi Pavilion it became apparent that the arts community was alive and well on Election Night.
Festival Director, Francis Coady introduced Bart Rose AKA the honorable Prime Miniature of Australia to rapturous applause. Now in its seventh year the Bondi Short Film Festival is turning into one hell of an election night party.
The festival falls on the second last weekend in November every year and Festival organisers waited and waited for the election to be announcement but it never came. So they announced the date and sure enough the election was called a few months later and it just happened to fall on the same night. So they used this to their advantage and have decided to incorporate the election into the festival. There will be live crosses to the tally room throughout the night so nobody misses out on the action.
There will also be a very special guest appearance by The Prime Miniature of Australia, aka actor Bart Rose, who will officially open the Festival. He will take time out of his incredibly busy schedule on election night to support the arts, especially his favorite medium SHORT FILM.
So without further ado we can officially announce the finalists for the 7th Annual Bondi Short Film Festival and their running order on the night.
